Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global inroads into the Latin pop mainstream. His hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It peaked at number eight in the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to make Vaina Loca which was which was a Top Five hit. He collaborated on a track with Noriel for Mala Influencia in 2020 and next year, released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. He appeared later in 2021 on a duet TINI on her streaming smash single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo was raised in music-loving family. His father and brother are both musicians. He's said in interviews that music was a necessity. He learned how to play the saxophone, guitar the ukulele, and keyboard when he was a young child. Though his original goal was to be a vet, his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons with one of the Cuban.
